About

Sophia Dunn-Walker is a French-American director whose work straddles the line between sophistication and edge Behind the camera, she directed the short Philomele (2019) and is currently developing a sci-fi opera among a range of other bold and uncompromising projects.

Legally blind, Sophia cut her teeth in entertainment as a member of the French punk band Litige and frontwoman of Avenir Aveugle. Her on-screen work includes Before the World Set on Fire (2023), Haunting of the Queen Mary (2023), Dogbite (2025), and the long-running Bold and the Beautiful.

In 2025, Sophia’s production company, Enkidu Productions, co-produced the Sundance-backed documentary Vestibule and continues to champion artists with disabilities, pushing forward work that is inclusive without losing its bite.

With an aesthetic described as “Debbie Harry meets Sofia Coppola,” Sophia moves easily from the spotlight to underground scenes, embracing both as part of her identity. She trusts instinct over formula and gravitates toward projects that challenge the norm.

Fluent in French and stylish defiance, Sophia is building a career that refuses to be boxed in by convention.
